Beyond our food, Hong Lai is a place where memories are made.
The story of Hong Lai began with a passion for preserving and sharing the rich culinary heritage of Hokkien Mee. Since 1970, with 56 years of experience, Hong Lai has grown from a small and humble roadside stall into a renowned restaurant.
Hong Lai was founded by Uncle Chong Choon Chai, a culinary artisan who loved traditional cooking and started his culinary journey at a roadside stall. Later, his son, Chong Yen Hong, and Chong Kean Guan continued to inherit and develop the business.
Over the years, Hong Lai has been a cherished part of the local community, where families, friends, and food enthusiasts gather to enjoy the unique flavors of our signature dishes. We remain dedicated to preserving traditional cooking methods, especially our charcoal frying technique, ensuring that every bite delivers a rich, smoky flavor that makes our Hokkien Mee truly distinctive.
